Our Summer Camp Counselor Training Program
Interested in being a counselor-in-training (C.I.T.) in New Jersey? Our sleepaway CIT program is an extensive and rigorous six-week program that offers teens the opportunity to develop leadership, outdoor living, and camp counselor skills. Our program focuses on small group dynamics, communication skills, teamwork and core values, and conflict resolution. CITs participate in a variety of exercises and challenges and also have the opportunity to take the American Red Cross Lifeguard Course. CITs will live in a seasonal unit, with a central bathhouse with hot and cold water, showers, and flush toilets. The comfortable, screened cabins do not have electricity.

*Our CIT program begins in the evening on Saturday, June 21 so our CITs have a night to settle into camp before our campers arrive. Arrival time To Be Determined.
More About Our Camp Values
At our summer camp counselor training program, we value skills and techniques along with passion and dedication. CITs will learn from various camp leaders and professionals and follow many of the same training procedures as our staff. They will also have opportunities to work directly with campers in cabins and program areas, under the supervision and guidance of the staff. Our goal is to have our CITs gain the skills to be effective leaders both at camp and in their communities.
