Staff assist with food distribution

Open for Cabin Rentals

Fairview Lake YMCA Camps will offer Cabin Rentals all season long! Rent one of our cabins for a week or more, and enjoy activities, meals, and the beauty of Fairview Lake in your own private space. Please visit our Family Camp page for more family programs.

School Year Day Camp

New this year, our School Year Day Camp combines the experiences of our traditional day camp with the new virtual schooling environment. The program is open to students in grades K-6. Our staff will assist students with virtual learning assignments and also keep kids active and engaged with outdoor sports and recreation, environmental education, and community stewardship.

Family Programs

We offer a number of weekend Family Camps and Parent-Child Weekends for families to enjoy camp activities, reconnect, and make lifelong memories. Visit our Family Programs page for up-to-date information about upcoming events and how to register.

Group Visits

We are currently open and booking groups to visit Fairview Lake. If you are a group leader and have questions about your trip, please contact camp.

Blood Drives

We have planned the following donation drives to meet an ongoing need of blood in hospitals and healthcare facilities. The Red Cross and Vitalant are also testing blood donations for COVID-19 antibodies. Appointments, masks, and social distancing will be required.

  • Wednesday, Sept. 30
  • 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Click here to schedule an appointment online. Use "Fairview Lake" as sponsor code.

Food Distribution

Boxes of fresh produce are available on a first-come, first-served basis for residents of Sussex and Warren counties each Tuesday at camp. Follow Fairview Lake YMCA Camps on social media for information about distribution times and procedures.

Virtual YMCA

We also recognize being at home all day is a novel and strange circumstance for many children and families. Together with our other branches, we created a series of videos – everything from group exercise to a sing-along campfire – for your family. We hope these videos bring joy, education, and fun into your home. You can currently access Fairview at Homefitness classes and child care resources from the comfort of your home.

Impacts on our staff

The loss of revenue associated with the closure of Y branches has resulted in unimagined financial circumstances, requiring a temporary layoff of many staff members who are part of the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges. This adjustment in our workforce enables us to sustain the staffing levels and wages that are essential for maintaining current operations.

To help employees affected by the closure of our facilities, you can make a secure online donation to our Employee Assistance Fund.

Additional resources

Thank you for working with us to ensure the health of your friends, visitors to camp, our YMCA, and the community. We look forward to seeing you soon.
